2026 Scottish Rite Leadership Conference
Dallas, TX

Innovation, Tradition, and Brotherhood. How can we embrace these three elements to create the future for our great fraternity?

This year's Leadership Conferences explored these ideas and allowed Scottish Rite leaders and Brothers from across the Southern Jurisdiction to learn hands-on about new ways to build and strengthen the Rite. From using AI tools to reduce administrative burdens to learning how to make authentic connections across several generations, to finding ways to engage brothers who don’t live close to a Valley.

It was energetic, interactive, informative, and most of all, FUN!

On April 19th and 20th, we traveled to Kansas City, Missouri for the 2024 Scottish Rite Leadership Conference. The title of the conference was, "Framing the Future". I personally feel it was an amazing conference and worth attending. It gave us a great opportunity to learn new things, meet many smart and exciting brothers, the chance to shake the hand of the Sovereign Grand Commander and even get a quick picture with him. The day started off talking about servant leadership, being a part of a team and how leadership is a matter of the heart. Danny Beason will give a presentation at the June Coordinate Council meeting to discuss what we learned.

A few things that really stuck out in my mind was engaging the brothers of the valley. Everyone needs to hear from us and not just about money or the fact that someone may have dues that need to be paid. Additionally, three questions were posed that everyone needs to ask themselves about the Cedar Rapids Valley and I woul dlove to hear everyone's thoughts. As yourself:

* What do we do well?
* What needs improving?
* What are we doing that should stop?
